Green Bay Packers vs Pittsburg Steelers



WASHINGTON - MICOM: super bowl game between the Green Bay Packers against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday (6 / 2), attracting as many as 111 million viewers in the United States, beating the record of last year, The Nielsen Co. said in a statement.

Nielsen states, xlv aired on Fox's Super Bowl was watched by 53.3 million U.S. households. Packers win 35-31 in the game.

The match last year between New Orleans Saints and Indianapolis Colts pulled 106.5 million viewers in the United States.

"Super bowls xlv close what is seen as the most successful season of any sports league has ever held," said Pat McDonough of The Nielsen Co.. "The Super Bowl continues to be in its own category, with appeal that transcends other sports and even entered the commercial world."
