Chimera was born two years ago. Yudhishthira senses when it was 29 years old-just keep it in the bag fantasies, because, "Making a movie musical is not easy, and expensive," he told Tempo. Finally, he decided to make a romantic comedy movie titled If She Knew.
Because the film If He Knew considered pretty good herding spectators, Indra was given the opportunity to realize his dream of making a movie musical. After all the song texts and materials available, Indra began holding casting (casting process). And here a miracle occurs. No warning, an applicant who later discovered named Johan Jaafar, 27 years old, enchanting eyes. "This man, does not deserve to be players, but who hold the choreographer," said Indra. He offered to be choreographed by Johan Johan is an alumnus of the Department of Modern Dance, Pedagogy, and Musical Theater at the University of Oklahoma, United States, and was splashed on the Broadway stage as a dancer. Johan had appeared together Saturday Night Fever Productions and Alvin Ailey Dance Ensemble in New York. Johan flexible style also had a chance to move the body used by PBS in one of their production. With so much experience, not strange if Johan is not too difficult to work on Let the Stars Dancing. "The key, we must be aware of where the market share target by the film," said Johan.
Fortunately, Johan worked with a solid team. Almost everyone involved in making this film was a young child, the same age as Johan. Call it the Monty Tiwa, 27 years old, story writer, who held out the scenario in the language of Johan "fun". "We have one vision," said Johan. Not to mention working with Andy Rianto, 28, who is on the rise arranger who pack songs with musical arrangements are beautiful.
The dance became as important elements of drama and music in the movie musical. Gestures in choreography that is displayed should be able to show emotion and character dialogue of the characters in the scene. Johan offers a range of serving a number of social dance salsa, swing, and tap dance. Johan said she broke the opinion that swing, for example, only suitable for adults.
With this film, Johan also want to set a trend tap dance for our youth. "Who knows, after watching this movie, the teen became infatuated nge-tap dance, like the people crowded poco-poco dance," he said. Tap dance style seen in the song Want (duet Ariyo and Dea Mirella), an on-screen motion is presented through acting and song by Ariyo (Grey) and Ladya Cheryl (Neina). Such styles are influenced by the stage of Broadway West Side Story by Leonard Bernstein.
Unfortunately, almost all players do not have the basic dance. Not surprisingly, Johan had to work hard to direct them. "I did not create them to be a dancer reliably. Importantly, the expression came out while dancing and singing." Eleven main dances in this film is designed in the form of a simple dance movement but alluring and entertaining. Some songs are sung Neina Ladya not out of the mouth. Dea Mirella addition, the songs were sung by Sita, personnel trio RSD.
While Indra as the director wanted this movie to teenagers. Because of that, "I took the pattern of storytelling which is similar to Grease, which recalled the style, the combination of music and stories," said Indra, a graduate of Vancouver Film School. Chimera was great; desire already sip; cultivation indeed still have a lot of trimming. But, as expressed Ishadi SK, producer of this film, "This is the work of young children newly in their 20s." So, let their dancing-while occasionally stumbling. Did not the filmmakers have also been "dancing" and also fall-wake before arriving at success?
